Stefan Sadowski
Born in 1941. Glazier artist, creator of artistic and applied glass. In the years 1963-1969 he studied at the Faculty of Painting, Graphics and Sculpture with a specialization in Glass Design Studies, under the direction of professors Maria and Stanisław Dawski at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Wrocław. From 1968 (after obtaining a discharge) as a designer in the "Sudety" Glassworks, from 1975 as the head of the HSG "Sudety" Design Center in Szczytna, later as the main specialist. Creator of many projects, dishes and sets, produced in blown soda glass, then in polished crystal glass. In 1986 he founded his own studio "Glass Studio" in Polanica-Zdrój. He also designs unique glass from hot-formed laminated glass, with color sinking and air bubbles. Lumps of glass poured in the home workshop are colored with metal oxides, matted or sandblasted. Light enriching the sculpture and colors brings the works closer to stained glass. He presented his works in the field of utility glass many times at the International Fair in Poznań and the International Fair in Frankfurt am Main. He exhibited artistic glass at numerous individual and collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
