Carlo Scarpa
Born in 1978. Italian architect and designer of glass and furniture. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts, where he focused on architectural studies. A graduate of the Academy in Venice with the title of professor of architecture, he apprenticed to the architect Francesco Rinaldo. Its architecture is deeply sensitive to the changes of time, from the seasons to history, rooted in sensual material imagination. Scarpa taught drawing and interior decoration at the Istituto universitario di architettura di Venezia from the late forties until his death. While most of his construction work is in Veneto, he has designed gardens and buildings for other regions of Italy, as well as Canada, the United States, Saudi Arabia, France and Switzerland.
