He lived from 1923 to 1989. In the years 1938-1940 he studied at the State School of Graphic Arts in Prague. He was a student of Prof. J Holocek at the Academy of Fine Arts in the years 1940-1945. Then he became a teacher at the glass school in Nowy Bór, where he headed the section of glass cutting techniques. He also worked in Chribska, teaching molded glass. In 1956 Chribska opened a new glass furnace and engaged in new glass-making techniques. In 1958, Hospodka became the chief designer of Borske Sklo, and later the director of this wonderful company. From 1970 to 1985 he was the director of the School of Glass in Kamenicky Senov and until his death he was a freelance designer for Crystalex Novy Bor.
